A Vernissage at Villa Hubert: An Evening of Art, Mountains and Meaningful Encounters
On Thursday, October 1, BARNES Léman was delighted to welcome just over fifty guests to Villa Hubert in Évian-les-Bains for an evening celebrating art, photography and shared experiences. At this iconic property, recently sold by our consultant Silvina Zein, guests had the opportunity to discover the world of photographer and artist Olivier Martel, discuss his work and enjoy a convivial moment alongside our partners.

Villa Hubert, a Property Steeped in History
Situated opposite the harbour and the waters of Lake Geneva, Villa Hubert is a residence dating from the 1800s, which exemplifies the architectural charm of Évian-les-Bains. This private mansion captivates with its classical architecture, its carefully preserved original features and its French-style gardens overlooking the lake.
Inside, the series of adjoining drawing rooms, ornamental fireplaces, wood panelling and terraces opening out onto Lake Léman create a unique setting, where the historic character of the house blends with the elegance of its interiors. It is a place that invites you to step back in time whilst enjoying an iconic view of the town.

Olivier Martel, a Unique Perspective on the Mountains
At the heart of this moment, Olivier Martel’s photographs invited visitors to take a moment to look at the mountains differently.
Through his work, the artist explores the power of Alpine landscapes as well as their more intimate and contemplative dimensions. His images, particularly those in black and white, play with contrasts, lines and light to reveal a quiet, evocative mountain landscape that invites emotion and reflection.
His presence gave guests the opportunity to discover his artistic world and discuss his creative approach in a setting that resonated with his photographs.

An Evening Dedicated to Connection
Beyond the artistic discovery, the vernissage was above all an opportunity to come together, exchange ideas and share a convivial moment centred on photography, the mountains and local heritage.
BARNES Léman would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended, as well as Olivier Martel, Bang & Olufsen and Villa Hubert for their contribution to this event.
These moments reflect our strong connection to the Lake Geneva region and our desire to create opportunities for people to meet around the places, personalities and creative worlds that bring it to life.
